What an easy winner Sunday, I wish they were all like that. I am going have watched this team all year and one of the main reasons they are so successful, is there defense and rebounding. Their interior defense shuts down everyone and they take great pride in their rebounding. For Atlanta to win they need to get out and run. Minny's defensive rebounding prevents them from doing that.
Angel McCoughtry has been quoted as saying "we have to be tougher and not as nice". I think that means a more physical game from them. The Dream lost one of it's starters in game one due to a head injury and she will play tonight but I don't think effectively. The Lynx have gone under in 9 of their last 10 games with the highest total at 147 points. It's more of the same tonight..........
10* under 154.5
The Lynx have now won by 11 or more 15 of 20 home games and by 16, 23 and 25 in their three home games. Minny doesn't want to go to Atlanta 1-1 and will win this game. The Lynx has a much bigger overall line up and three Olympians, a fourth All Star in "The Machine" Rebecca Brunson. The best passing Center in the league who also sets the best picks and clogs the middle in Janelle McCarville, a deeper bench with Six Woman of the Year candidate Monica, I'm going to marry Kevin Durant, Wright and a defensive presence in Devereau Peters.
The Dream is much smaller and will try to get the ball into their 6' 5" Center de Souza which will slow the pace. The rest of their line up is much smaller than the Lynx who counter with three players 6'2" and taller. The trend continues tonight, 4* Minn -11
